Occasionally, I offer growth retreats for people ready to biggie-size their emotional and spiritual growth. Retreats give our broken and weary hearts a chance to rest, reflect, play and heal. It’s good to remove ourselves from the productivity cult of modern life and remember how sacred and embodied we are! Family life is beautiful but we can get stuck in ruts of list-making and duty. We can over-identify with our work, successes, failures, and tragedies. We can be stuck in grief, lost in our marriages, numb to our feelings or out of touch with the wonder of being alive. We can be crossing milestones of age, struggling with illness or angry at ourselves for wasting time on this earth.
Whatever our situation, a retreat can be a powerful tool for rediscovering our joy, authenticity and raw wild beauty.
*Retreats are alcohol and (non-prescription) drug-free.
WHAT WE OFFER AT GRIEF RETREATS
gentle stretching and Meditation:
Offered each morning for those who wish to start their days with some light stretching and mindfulness.
Gathering Circle:
We come together as a group to share, connect, listen, and learn. The circle is facilitated as a sacred ritual space where confidence, respect, dignity, and difference are protected and assured.
Break-Out Groups:
We divide the larger group into smaller groups, allowing for more intimate interaction. Break-out groups tend to be focused on themes that are identified as challenging.
teaching:
Although we learn best experientially, there is always value in learning what the masters teach while making room for lots of questions.
Soul-o Time:
Reflective solitary time is an important aspect of retreating. We give participants a few simple suggestions for making this time rewarding and powerful.
Locations:
Check the Retreats Event page to find out where our next retreat is happening.
Lodging:
A variety of accommodation options are available with registration. Private room options fill more quickly than shared rooms, so it is advisable to sign up as early as possible.
Food:
Our retreat chefs strive to meet the dietary needs of guests including: vegetarian, vegan, no pork, celiac (gluten free), lactose intolerance, peanut, and shellfish allergies.
